Customer Problem Solving & Sales
This is where your mechanical and people skills meet. You will be the face of Colliflower, guided by your Store Manager to:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external customer inquiries, providing timely, professional, and courteous service.
- Diagnose and solve problems by identifying the correct product solution (e.g., hose, fitting, etc.) for the customer's specific needs.
- Resolve customer issues professionally and quickly.
- Actively participate in customer capture programs and provide potential sales leads to the Outside Sales Team.
- Promote all company products and services to ensure customer needs are fully met.
- Performing hands-on hose assembly and crimping to manufacturer’s precise specifications.
- Actively engaging in Colliflower’s internal training programs on your first day.
- Being exposed new learning opportunities to become a subject matter expert in the fluid power industry.
- Manage the full lifecycle of inventory, including receiving deliveries, unpacking, stocking shelves, and maintaining professional product displays.
- Assist the Store Manager with inventory tracking, cycle counts, and placing product orders.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and exceptionally clean store and workshop environment.
- Support routine facility maintenance and waste/cost reduction efforts.
- Accurately process all sales transactions.
- Assist in recording and tracking transactions related to invoices, stock transfers, and inventory levels.
- Consistently and accurately complete timecard and ensure the confidentiality and security of company intellectual property.
- Mechanical Aptitude: A proven ability to understand how mechanical systems work and a comfort level using hand and power tools (e.g., hose saws, crimping machine).
- Proficient Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills to clearly explain products and solutions to customers.
- Quality Work Ethic: A high degree of reliability, integrity, and commitment to completing tasks accurately.
- Organization & Detail Orientation: Proficient organizational skills to manage inventory, track transactions, and maintain a clean workspace.
- Math Skills: Proficient math skills, including the ability to read and accurately interpret a tape measure, and a willingness to learn metric conversions.
- Must be able to frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, and climb.
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 150 lbs (with assistance, as needed).
- Requires manual dexterity to operate machinery and tools used in the workshop.
- Work is performed in a fast-paced, hands-on workshop environment.
- Routinely uses standard office equipment (computers, phones) as well as workshop tools (hose saws, crimping machines, etc.).
- Exposure to noise from equipment and occasional odor from cutting rubber hose.
- This position is 100% on-site and cannot be performed remotely.
