Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Facilitates and drives the talent acquisition process to support company change and growth, including recruitment, interviewing, and assistance with hiring of qualified candidates; Collaborates with departmental managers to execute.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance and reduce legal risk.
  • Facilitates disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations; Manages and resolves complex employee issues.
  • Analyzes and interprets Human Resources KPI’s and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Research, designs, and implement employment initiatives including organizational guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance (coaching, corrective action, development planning)
  • Provides guidance and input on workforce and succession planning.
  • Provides support with compensation reviews; Recommends best practices that are in alignment with company needs.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute Human Resources programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave, disciplinary matters, performance and talent management, training, and development.
  • Manages Human Resources-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and managers with a high level of customer service.
  • Creates job descriptions; partners with management to ensure consistency in the updating of job descriptions, career paths, and succession planning.
  • Develops, implements, and supports employee engagement initiatives and retention efforts.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Implements and processes semi-monthly payroll to ensure timely and accurate payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.

Specific Requirements for Position
  • Working knowledge of multiple Human Resources disciplines including talent acquisition, payroll, benefits, compliance, and employee relations
  • Knowledge of labor law, trends, and developments
  • High level of tact, diplomacy, discretion, confidentiality and empathy/understanding in a diverse work environment.
  • Positive interpersonal skills, high adaptability, and problem-solving skills
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and proven organizational and prioritizing skills

Qualifications and Skills
  • 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources.
  • Customer-first work ethic
  • Proficiency with HRMS/HRIS systems; ADP preferred.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
